Actress Jan Smithers was born in North Hollywood CA on July 3rd 1949. Long before she became a celebrity she was featured in a Newsweek article (see photos above) about teenage rebellion. In 1974 she was cast in the movie Where the Lilies Bloom. Also that year she appeared in When the North Wind Blows. In 1978 she rose to greater fame Playing Bailey Quarters in WKRP in Cincinnati. She retired in 1987 and now lives in Canada.
