Actress Mary Tyler Moore was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 29th 1936. She made her debut in 1959 as Sam the secretary in Richard Diamond, Private Detective. Her face was never shown on the show, just her voice and legs. In 1961 she won the part of Laura Petrie on The Dick Van Dyke Show starring Dick Van Dyke. In 1970 she got her own show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show. She founded MTM Productions which produced WKRP. In 1969 she starred with Elvis Presley in Change Of Habit.
