Singer and actress Cyndi Lauper was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 22nd 1953. She first appeared in the band Blue Angel that released a album in 1980. Her first solo album, She's So Unusual, was released in 1983 which put her in the same league as Madonna. Cyndi Lauper appeared in numerous episodes of Mad About You with Helen Hunt and Paul Reiser.
