Actress Courteney Cox was born in Birmingham, Alabama on June 15th 1964. She debuted with a small role in the soap-opera As The World Turns. She then appeared in a Bruce Springsteen video Dancing in The Dark. Her big break came in 1987 when she was cast on Family Ties as girlfriend to Michael J. Fox's character Alex Keaton. She is best known for her role in the sitcom Friends. Her husband, David Arquette, is the brother of actress Roseanna Arquette. She and her mother share the same first name, so she is Courteney Cox Jr.
